Product Description

26.5-40GHz WR-28 WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T

  • Frequency range from 1 GHz to 110 GHz+
  • Passive device – no external power required
  • High directivity and isolation (typically >30 dB)
  1. A WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T also provides power division: a signal fed into the E‑arm is equally split between the two collinear arms (ports 3 and 4) with opposite phase (180° difference).
    Conversely, a WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T fed from the H‑arm equally splits power between the two collinear arms with equal phase (0° difference).
    When signals are applied to the collinear arms of a WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T, the E‑arm outputs the vector sum (difference), and the H‑arm outputs the vector sum (addition) of the two inputs.

  2. Connect source to E‑arm
    For anti‑phase power division, feed the input signal into the E‑arm of the WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T.

  3. Connect source to H‑arm
    For in‑phase power division, feed the input signal into the H‑arm of the WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T.

  4. Phase comparators and detectors
    A WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T compares the phase difference between two input signals at the collinear ports.

  5. Sum‑and‑difference (monopulse) radar systems
    A WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T generates the sum (Σ) and difference (Δ) channels from four antenna quadrant signals for angle tracking.
